Scooters/mopeds?

hey i was going to buy a scooter used with about 3500 miles on it. i was wondering if this was alot of miles for a scooter.

My husband just bought a brand new yamaha zuma scooter. I believe they run somewhat like cars. The oil needs to be changed every 1500 miles. They last about 8 to 10 years. To me that doesn't sound too bad but it depends on the price, year and model. If its something that is only 2 years old or less, and is a brand that you feel confident it. As long as the price is right I would say go for it. You can always call a local motorsports service shop and see what they think.

It depends.  This is a lot of miles for a off-brand chinese scooter.  This is not a lot of miles for a Honda scooter.

i have no idea but i am curious to see a real answer. i would think that was a lot though because really how far can you go per day on a scooter, i mean its a scooter. What year is it?
