Question:

Scorpion King sword.

My mother bought a khopesh (Egyptian sword) at a flea market for my brother, he eventually gave it back to her and I told her I would take it. After doing some searching on the internet I found that it is a replica from the scorpion king's sword in the mummy returns and the scorpion king. The blade has tarnished quite a bit but other than that it is in good shape.

My question is, it has an emblem all of the way around the middle of the blade that has a scorpion on one side and what looks like a scarab on the other. I don't see this on any of the other swords I've seen online, could it be that a personal craftsman made it? Or is it just the shipping logo?

I am just trying to get more information on it so that I know how to take care of it and store it. Thanks.

  1. If it's just a replica, my guess is it's some kind of company logo. Usually those are more mass produced and so a craftsman would not personally sign it.
