  1. There are over 1,000 species of scorpions (but less than 2,000) and 90 species of scorpion live in the US. Only 20 species worldwide can kill you and only one in the US: the Arizona Bark Scorpion. Despite its name it also occurs in the extreme southeastern part of California and is not exclusive to Arizona as they name may imply.

  2. Scorpions may be found in many types of habitats in the United States, including desert flats, sand dunes, desert and mesic mountains, grasslands, pine forests, deciduous forests, and chaparral. Species are most diverse in desert areas.

WELL I M SORRY 2 SAT BUT SCORPIONS R FOUND IN EVERY CONTINENT EXCEPT ANTARTICA

I KNOW U DONT LIKE THEM BUT U CAN ALWAYS HAVE A LOKK IN THA SAN DIEGO ZOO N WILD ANIMAL PARK

  3. Yes.  But they are seldom found in urban areas.  You will mostly encounter them when you turn over rock, wood or other objects on the ground.  In the city it could be pavers or even lose bark chips used for ground cover.  They will flee when they can and will only strike defensively.
