Scotland and ni?

why do they not build a train network to Scotland from ni from say ballycastle to the isle of mull like they have with england and france

  1. Perhaps scotland should think about spending its money on putting street lights on its major A roads before it starts to think about connecting itself to ireland...

    Where do these crazy ideas come from? Does someone look at a map and say "look A and B - lets join them by building a railway/bridge/tunnel/whatever"

    What you do not understand is that these personal whims cost (and waste) millions of pounds of money. I prefer my money to be spent on something that will be used, like more hospitals, affordable first-time housing, etc.

    You forget (convieniantly) that the experimental ferry service between Campbeltown and Ballycastle failed miserably when it was last tried and it will require heavy subsidy to restart it. If a ferry into Campbeltown does not work (with its connecting coach service to Glasgow and Edinburgh), then these is not a dog's chance in h**l of it working from the Isle of Mull.
