Scotland ruins Romania in Rugby World Cup Pool B match by 34-24

Scotland thumped the meagre side from Romania by reasonable margin of 10 points in its opening game of Rugby World Cup 2011 with 34-24 on the scoreboard. Scotland scored four tries in the match with a slight lead of 18-11 at the end of the first-half. Simon
Danielli elevated his side with a couple of late tries and snatched the victory from the claws of Romania in the ending moments. The score was levelled to 24 each in the 70th minute of the match and Scotland had done well in the last 10 minutes
to secure the victory.
Chris Paterson put his Scotland side first on the board with the help of a penalty goal very early after the starting whistle. His good work with the boots earned his side 14 points in the game. Mike Blair extended the Scottish lead to 8-0 in the seventh
minute of the match with a well received try. Scotland failed to get the conversion goal as Paterson tried to kick the pill into the Romanian posts.
Joe Ansbro worked away the second try for Scotland and some more good work by Paterson extended their total to 18 at the end of first-half. Meanwhile, Romania scored two penalty goals and a try on the last minute of the first-half to make a good impression
in the second-half.
Paterson added six points for Scotland and Paterson 10 with much needed tries and sealed the victory for their team. Romania played exceptionally well in the match and gave a real tough time to Scotland, hopefully they will do even better in the remainder
of the tournament.
