Scotland v France - why was Patterson brought on so late?

I agree France played better. I live in France and watched game with in-laws. Now I've got a face like what Princess Anne had throughout the game. lol

Impact sub? how hes being used at Gloucester so maybe Frank Hadden thinks its a good ploy. Did well when he was on the pitch though, more like the Paterson of old.

Late or early, it wouldn't have change anything.  France were playing much better without being outstanding and won it easy.

I just do not think it have made any difference for the Scots had failed to take advantage of the efforts made by the forwards in the first half and then completely lost the plot in the second. Hope they will be in the same sorry state next weekend at Cardiff. However, Rugby results are difficult to forecast accurately.

I think Patterson was brought on late to give Dan Parks a chance to show what he could do, without Patterson being in the limelight. Although Parks didn't put on a great performance I don't think Patterson would have made a lot of difference. Scotland played well in the first half they were just unlucky they didn't execute the potential tries. In the second half France had the better side though. = ]

Do not think Patterson would have made a difference if he had come on sooner..........France dominated the game and Scotland played terrible, nothing went right for them even when they had chances........it just got worse for them as game went on!
