After winning the toss, Scotland chose to bat first aiming post a daunting total on the board against the minnows.

Earlier, Scotland openers Richie http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Calum-Scott-MacLeod-c49129 ripped apart Oman’s bowling attack as the openers launched a barrage of smashing batting by clobbering Oman all around the park and while the stadium had Omani supporters, Scots played like they were on home turf.
The confidence of the openers was enough to wreck havoc in the ranks of their opponents, as they had to bear an opening stand of 104 runs by Scotland.
Finally in the 13th over, the partnership finally came to an end when Berrington lost his wicket after scoring 30 runs.
This wicket triggered a batting collapse and Scotland, who were in an excellent position soon lost their standing by losing wickets at almost random.
Nonetheless, MacLeod did not let the rapid fall of wickets get to him and kept on batting superbly as he knocked an innings of 104 runs to stay unbeaten in the match, helping his team post 158 runs in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets.

Meanwhile, coming out to chase a decent total, Oman exhibited lack of resolve as they lost their first wicket on 14 runs. And then by 63 runs the side had lost five wickets in total.
The early demise of the top-order batsmen exposed the tail to a harsh bowling from the Scots which prevented them from successfully chasing the required target.
In the end, Oman faltered after posting 106 runs in 17.4 overs after having suffered a batting collapse by the hands of Scotland.
