in soccer world cups internationals etc etc I always support the home countries as I consider myself to belong to great Britain ,alas Scotland ,wales are the most bigoted supporters I know,so Wales Scot and  take a leaf out of most Brits and support the home countries .

I'm an 'England' fan and would support Scotland - as pointed out below, from being part of the UK.  The person asking the question did say 'what if' so is simply asking a question so no need to say things such as 'it won't happen - anyway as has been proved in the last few days......probably best not to count your chooks!  So yup - Scotland in memory of all my lovely family holidays in Beauly, Inverness, Kirkaldy (yes really) etc......

I'd be supporting Scotland and I'm English. Most English people don't need to define themselves in terms of hatred for others! I know most Scots don't either but there is a minority who do.
