Scotland’s Graeme Morrison targets Six Nations after successful year
Scotland centre Graeme Morrison believes the team must continue to progress and improve ahead of the World Cup.
The Glasgow player feels that the squad of players that Scotland has can improve on next season and do something special ahead of the Six Nations and World Cup.
Speaking to reporters, Morrison said, "I believe the group of players that we've got are really special. We get on so well together and if we keep on improving when we come together then I believe we have got something special in the tank.”
Scotland has improved immensely this year under the guidance of Scottish coach Andy Robinson.
They managed to grind out a 19-16 win against Samoa on Saturday 27 November after out-half Ruaridh Jackson knocked over a last minute penalty. "It was great Jacko [Jackson] managed to get the kick at the end there and we're delighted to win. We knew it was
going to be really tough and it certainly was that—I've got a bit of a headache from some of the hits that were coming my way," said Morrison.
The Scots recorded a 21-17 shock win over the Springboks after a disappointing 49-3 Test thrashing to the All Blacks.
They also managed a draw against England and an away win against Ireland in the Six Nations.
However, Morrison is eager for Scotland to continue to build and the centre has already turned his attention to Scotland’s opening Six Nations Test against France in Paris. "We need to keep on improving and to keep on challenging each other. We'll take it
a game at a time and we've got a huge challenge with France first in Paris. We can't really think too far ahead, just focus on that game, but I believe if we improve we can beat any team in the competition," said Morrison.
