Scotsman Gary Anderson makes a comeback at the Premier League oche
Gary Anderson was able to make his return in the Premier League to claim his second consecutive victory against James Wade.
The reigning champion came from a speculated 4-2 defeat to assert his hegemony on the oche with an 8-5 score line.
However, it was Wade who had an upper hand on the game from the very beginning of the encounter.
With the help of double tens in the first two legs of the game, the 2009 Champion was quite clearly looking forward to victory.
It was in the third leg when Anderson captured the visage on the game. With the help of 59 checkout, the Scotsman was able to get off the mark.
Wade tried to suppress the rise of his opponent by taking the third leg with a 107 just to retain the advantage.
However, it was the last leg he could get a lead in. Anderson made consecutive 14, 14 and 13 darts hit to reach 7-4 on the score board.
It was from here onwards when Anderson was everywhere in the game.
Wade, who is still on medication to recover him from different nervous disorders, was ready for another shock in the championship.
He made a final attempt to stay in the game with the help of a 14-darter, but this was easily overridden by Anderson and his score of 165, with the help of a double four 13-darter strokes.
While commenting on the victory he achieved, Anderson said, "I've been struggling for eight weeks or so but it's started to come back this week".
He added, "The more I played, the worse it got for a while but this performance was a lot more like how I want to play".
He further added that when Wade was scoring, he was suffering the panic, but he tried to get hold of his nerve.
It was this time when he had to make use of his confidence in the correct way and direction. He was, therefore, able to claim victory with the help of this technique.
James Wade, on the other hand, is still searching for a victory. His start in the Premier League has not been as effective as he had hoped.
Experts believe that he will have to improve his temperament to get the breakthrough.
