Scott Evans tames Marcel Reuter in Men’s Singles quarter-final of Irish International 2012
Ireland’s top shuttler Scott Evans cheered his home fans by reaching into Men’s Singles semi-final after toppling Germany’s Marcel Reuter in quarter-final contest at Irish International 2012 on Saturday, December 8, in Ireland.
The higher ranked Evans, who is the top seeded shuttler in Men’s Singles main draw of the tournament, showed a stunning performance in the arena and registered a comprehensive victory over the sixth seeded Marcel in just 29 minutes.
Irish man played with terrific speed in all areas of the court and remained successful in winning against his German rival in straight games with a one-sided margin on the score board.
On the contrary, the lower ranked Marcel failed to live up to expectations as he could not create any trouble for his higher ranked local challenger and lost the match in a vulnerable fashion.
