The English national team captain for the night has come out and praised his team mates for showing courage to fight back against Holland in their latest friendly encounter at the international stage...
Stuart Pearce, the stand-in England national team manager handed the armband to Scott Parker for England’s encounter against Netherlands at the Wembley stadium on a night that produced a total of five goals from both the teams.
Pearce’s team succumbed to a two goals to three loss to the FIFA 2010 World Cup finalists in the end courtesy of a fine winner by Arjen Robben but Parker was still proud of his team mates after the final whistle
. England started the match quite well and showed great offensive intent but soon they were humbled due to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 who opened the scoring for the European giants
as he drilled a shot past http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

Young. Nonetheless, Robben led his team to a win in the end as he curled a beautiful shot past Hart for the Dutch national team’s winner.
Parker said in his post-match comments, "I thought we showed great courage and heart to get back into the game. Going two goals down, we'd fallen apart really. Holland have got world class players, and sometimes it's as simple
as that. The way we've performed tonight, we don't think sheer grit, determination and courage is going to win you a tournament.”
He added, "We understand that we need to work on things and get technically better, but we all need to stay positive and realise that tonight is a great hope for us. Coming back from 2-0 was massive really."
England will hope that they can find a permanent coach for the national team as soon as possible as time runs short till the initiation of the European Championships in the summer of 2012 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032, a trophy that the
three lions have yet to get their hands on in international football.
