Scott Parker looking to hand in transfer request at Upton Park
West Ham and England midfielder Scott Parker seems to be relishing the opportunity to play in the Champions League. The player is reported to have had it with the Hammers, as he is often the only player on the pitch who looks to produce anything for the
team.
The player has in the past seen a seven million pound bid from Tottenham get rejected by West Ham, but he now feels that if any tam were to make a bid for him, he would most likely push through with the move and leave West Ham.
The player is reported to have had some sort of a fall out with the team's manager Avram Grant, and does not seem to like the training and coaching tactics that the Israeli deploys. As a result Harry Redknapp is reported to be listening in very closely on
the situation with his cheque book in hand, waiting to pounce as soon as the window of opportunity presents itself.
It has also been reported that Scott Parker has told a number of his family and friends that he is willing to hand in a transfer request prior to the January transfer window, in hopes that a team such as Tottenham would end up signing him.
Last time Tottenham made a bid for the player, they were told to come back when they had the right amount of cash ready for the player. The team never emphasised on what that amount might be, but until now Tottenham didn't seem to want to follow up on their
initial bid for the player. However all of that seems to have changed as Tottenham are now in the Champions League, and are in desperate need of a quality midfield general like Parker.
Tottenham are currently being lined up as hot favorites to land the player in the January trasnfer window, with Liverpool appearing to be their closest competitors at the moment. However it is safe to say for now that Parker will be on his way from Upton
Park come January.
