Hi appreciate advice on which has better components and/or value for money.

I cycle mostly on road with occassional off roads. Not really into jumping or downhill stuff. Just need a entry level bike.

Thanks :)

  1. Scott Voltage YZ 3

  2. I do not know the prices for these bikes where you are.

But these two bikes are not the same at all.

The Scott is a freeride bike made for jumps and tricks and comes with a very beefy frame.

The Raleigh on the the hand is a crosscountry bike.A well equiped lower end one at that.

The Scott is not for'mostly on road with occassional off roads'

It sucks as a commuter as the bike is heavy and the geometry is for jumping .

The Raleigh is the bike for you.It has a half decent fork  and is adjustable to a point. It has disc brakes too.

I love Scott bikes but I would not buy that one.

I do not like Raleighs as a rule but that is a great buy on a well equipped bike with a good frame and disc brakes, plus a pretty good cheap shock.I would buy that bike just for the disc system.

I hope my mere opinion can be of some assistance to you
