He is lining up with the Bendigo Bombers this weekend. He has been sidelined since round six with knee problems. Can he get himself fit enough to take further part this season?

  1. I hope so and think so. He will not play in the home-and-away games, but I am sure he will line up in the Qualifying Final against Hawthorn.

  2. No.

He is too old. To drop a young bloke now would only be detrimental to the team.

But he will be like many others , and keep hanging around until they are given the boot.

  3. In todays Herald sun 15/08 there is an article about him returning. Something like perfect timing.

  4. I hope he plays again! He's a great player and a veteran of the Dogs. He deserves a good farewell.

  5. YES he will

  6. I think he deserves to be in the side. He's a champ and i think he will play in the finals.

  7. I think he will. I'd like to see him get atleast one game in the AFL before Finals. If all goes well this week and next week at Williamstown, he could be playing in round 22. He'll only play a little more than 50% game time this week against Bendigo and then hopefully up to 60-75% of game time next week. It's been a very frustrating injury, with him being 2-3 weeks away and then receive another setback.

Had his fourth son this week, should be good for future F/S at the Bulldogs.

  8. I hope that he can return, he is one of my favourite players from the Bulldogs. I doubt that he'll continue next year though.

  9. In the past I would have said, no - he had no chance of getting himself fit enough to play finals football. But in this day & age the clubs do wonders with their injured players. The medical & fitness staff keep the players fit through various programs over long periods out of the game.

He is getting a bit old now, though. It will be interesting to see how he does perform.

  10. I barrack for the Bombers and I sure hope we can see Scott in action in our match, second last of the season - have watched him play with great pleasure at his skills for years, and would not like him to retire before the season ends.

I am not sure, however, that he would be able to force himself back into the regular side if the Doggies get stuck into the finals.

    Good luck Scott.
