Scottish disclosure application.......HELP PLEASE?!?

how long should i have to wait for my disclosure? ive applied with my local council as a clerical assistant in the housing dept. i know i have nothing on my criminal record, i have only ever had my name taken by police when i was younger! wil it be quicker since its clean?! the lady i spoke 2 from the council said they were dying on me to start as they are short staffed but couldnt give me a strat date until my disclosure is through, i sent it away 7 days ago but she phoned me today to ask how long i have stayed at my current address as it wasnt on my application, does this mean it has to get sent away again because it was not filled out correctly?! please help it would be reallu appreciated

They may be working on it now.   Sadly these things can take weeks!

Dont know about Scotland but my Wife was told that it could take up to 6 weeks in England (for a full version) recently.

She was able to start on the day requested subject to its eventual clearance.

Refer to your future Employer- they will have experience of such delays and should offer you the position on trust as its a fairly low risk category as opposed to someone with access to children/old people etc.
