  1. it`s gone mad down south, can`t wait till the money men pull out then you will see the likes of chelsea, man city, etc, gone down like a lead balloon. remember what happened to leeds

  2. If we could afford to we would simple as that-Wish Celtic had Fernando Torres and Robbie Keane-players are only worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for them-bit like houses or anything else in a free market for that matter.

  3. Supply on Demand tinker'belle... not one of Murrays strong points I'm afraid, but if you don't spend it on players the board just get richer as there's no chance of them sharing profits with the supporters. .

  4. Well OTT, just look at the silly money being thrown at young adults down in england

  5. do you know something we dont BB?

silly money..total madness, players should be on basic rate wages and then they would play with their heart and want to put the hours in

  6. Football is just insane, When we think of buying players a 1 million player we don't think they are going to be that great

but think of how much £1,000,000 is , is a load of money and if i had it i would do something different than buy a football player

and just think of 30 mil

  7. no player is worth that at all, not when there is starving and homeless people in this country and abroad,

  8. You're right BB, it's just getting ridiculous

  9. Hello bluebell, yes I guess I better say congrats on the win much as it pains me ha ha.

    Crazy bloody money.

I remember me old dad nearly having a canary when trevor francis was bought for a million.

I heard man city signed yer man without a medical,I could be wronng.

Also has anyone heard if the rumour is true about Bagshaw signing for celtic from Aberdeen 1 hour before transfer deadline,

Yes she was a complete pain in the ar#e.Kept asking me to put B.B.C. news on up at the in-laws to see if their was any news as she called it on.

Ah well she was due a dig in.

  10. bluebell is cristiano ronaldo not on something like 120 grand a week the money they get down there is obscene i dont think any player is worth that kind of money they get paid silly money for doing something they enjoy doing then you get people working all the hours they can just to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table and to have the odd wee treat

  11. I'm a Dunfermline fan - we can barely afford to spend £30 odd hundred, nevermind £30 odd million.

As for whether they are worth that kind of money. Anything is worth whatever people are prepared to pay - thats the laws of economics. I know its an obscene amount of money but the values have sky-rocketed because of the competition to sign players. ie - if one team bids £10 million then another team offers £12 million - the second team gets the player. thats why the prices are so high.

  12. yes.  if i played football the teams would have to cough up double that to insure my body because im pure stunning.

  13. mad money for some very very s**+te players but if some one wants to put foolish amounts of his money into celtic then I welcome him.

    come on oracle get talkin!!!!!!!

    ha ha ha ha

  14. a bit of a waste

walter could buy 5 players with that, 4 being good

strach could buy 5 players with that, 3 being good

so you could really strenthen your team with that money

  15. i dont know if i could justify it but i wouldnt be complaining about it!

  16. No wouldnt want it. It sickens me. Scottish football just needs the league setup changed a bit. Seem someone elses answer recently , full of good ideas. First one must be to extend the league.

  17. The money being banded about in England is insane.  But it will not and cannot last forever.  Yet another club bought over by foreign owners, how many will stick around when the s**t hits the fan ?

All joking and points scoring aside, at least Rangers and Celtic are owned by people who are fans of the club.

Remember the boom times in Italy ?  How many teams are either bankrupt, or on the verge of it, now ?  I reckon when the crash comes in English football, it will be even more drastic.

Case in point: How much have Chelsea spent in the last 5 years alone, and have still not managed to win the UCL ?

The reckoning is a-coming, I tell you.
