okay i have a ps2 game that was really badly scratched and it just froze before you could even log in. i read somewhere that you cover it in toothpaste then rub it with a toothbrush in a circular motion. i did this and now my disc has millions of tiny little scratches over it and wont even load. is it gone forever? or is there something i can do??

  1. well whoever told you to use a toothbrush is an idiot, youre supposed to just rub some non abrasive toothpast on the disc, wait a little while and gently wipe it off with a tissue/and or some type of soft cloth, since there are a million sratches, youre probly screwed, you may be able to find some type of cd repair kit or something....sorry

  2. If you live in the uk take it in to any game store, they will fit it for you. Not sure what the price is though.

  3. you could pour 2 or 3 drops of cologne and rub it on a soft dry cloth.it should work out.  that is what i did for my Jak 3 and spiderman 2

  4. the toothpaste trick.

you put some toothpaste (the kind without the "sand") and rub it on the back of the disk with a tissue until it is not visible anymore.

    good luck

  5. put tooth paste on it rub it in and then let it sit a minute then wash it off and it should work

  6. try putting it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes seriously the cold contracts  the disc then wipe it with tissuse i used to do it all the time it works

  7. i think there is a polish you can use to fill in small scratches. i think your in a good place to ask I'm sure someone will come up with an exact answer. good luck
