for school in the morning i want breakfast fast, but i don't just want cereal.

Would it be okay to make the scrambled eggs mix (eggs, milk, salt, pepper[whisked together]) covered and refrigerated over night? So then in the morning i could just pour the mix in a pan and cook, then eat?

  1. sure

  2. the health dept.says that once an egg is broke you have to cook it or through it out ....with in 1/2 hour .....

  3. Yes, that would be fine.  The craze now is omelets in a bag.  Mix your eggs and fixings in a ziplock bag and refrigerate overnite and cook in the morning.

  4. YES!! I DO THAT ALL THE TIME!!!

  5. You could, but you will still need to give it a whisk in the morning.

It takes so little time I always do them in the morning.

  6. I guess we are not the only ones that are in a hurry in the A.M.!!

My daughter used to scramble eggs, put bac-os or crumbled bacon bits in there, some dried chives and parsley flakes, salt and pepper.  Then she would mix well, cook and divide into some sandwich bags and Freeze!  She would come down in the a.m. - lol - throw a bag of eggs in the microwave and then put her toast in the toaster, and leave for 4-5 minutes - doing something to prep for school - then come back, dump eggs on plate, butter toast and eat or she wld make into a sandwich with the toast.

Just make sure eggs are cooked but not too Dry as the microwave will dry them out a bit more.

Sometimes now - all kids are gone - I make the same but wrap in pita or a tortilla and add cheese, freeze - and nuke it as I am going out to the shop!!

    Crazy huh!!

    Good luck!

  7. SUGAR PIE has the right idea there. By the time you heat up the pan, you could have your mix ready. I would advise a fresh mix every morning and not leave it over night.

Also, you could buy you those "Egg Beaters" that's in the carton and all you have to do is pour it out. :-) That will be another option for ya.

  8. That is a good idea.. Yeah,,it will be ok..

  9. Yes, you could...... but you still have to wait for the pan to heat up.  By then you could have cracked eggs, added a splash of milk and S&P adn whisked them up fresh.....
