Scrapbook ideas?

I did a scrapbook of my first pregnancy, for when my daughter is older. I'm pregnanct with baby #2 and want to do the same for him/her. A lot of the pages for my first one have pictures of baby showers, cards and gifts. Second time around, there arent showers, and the big "hoopla" that there is for the first baby, so I need some creative ideas for pages for this one. (I already have a page of important dates, how we found out, u/s pics....)

  1. Send your baby's name, address and birthdate to "White House Greetings Office/Rm. 39/Washington, D.C./20500" -the White House will send you a letter welcoming your baby into the world, signed by Pres. & Laura Bush.  But if your baby is born in say, October, and the next president is signed in before you request the letter, then you're out of luck.  You have to request the letter from the President that's in office when your baby is born.  I was lucky that Pres. Bush had two terms!  So, I have that letter at the beginning of my baby's scrapbook, and it looks very pretty with glitter gold and pink framing with pink baby clothes embellishments along the side.  I scrapbooked the envelope too - it's done in calligraphy.  Good answer, huh?  Worthy of Best Answer???  :)

  2. How about including things on what's going on while you are waiting for baby?

-Like what big brother/sister is doing and what they are saying about new baby.

    -How your tummy is growing.

-Names you are considering and how much harder it is the 2nd time around.

-Take pictures of the things big brother/sister will "hand down" for new baby and include how much big brother/sister will loved it.

-How you are getting ready for baby and what the house and neighborhood look like.

-How things have changed since first baby came on to the scene.

-Special thoughts for new baby. Maybe have your closest friends and relatives send their warm wishes to the new baby. You can mail them a piece of cardstock that they can use and you can just attach those to the pages. Or send them a blank card that they can send back.

-How you are wondering page...how will you be different? will you have the same laugh, smile, cute toes, curly hair, etc.

Hope this gives you something! :)  Congrats and good luck.

  3. You could scrap pictures of your sonograms. If you have several, do a timeline. Try to get a recording of the baby's heartbeat and transfer it to a pushbutton recording device (like those in stuffed animals) that you could manipulate after attaching it to the page. You might find these at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Radio Shack, WalMart or even Target. Take sideways pictures of your "growing  belly" from month to month. Photograph you measuring it with a piece of yarn and spiral that yarn on the page with the pictures.

  4. You could write a letter to the baby yourself, have some poems in there, get a birthday letter made from a company in the letter it tells the price of a house, a loaf of bread, who was president, how much cabbage was soap, etc.  It pretty interesting then back in 1950 the price of things. etc. hope this has helped.
