Scrapbooking layout tip? Cover ideas needed?

I'm doing a scrapbook for my mum's 50th birthday. I want the first page to be like a cover for the whole book, but I cannot find any good ideas on online.

I was not born a very creative person, so need a few ideas. Pictures or links, please!!

if you have access to pictures of her throughout her life time (baby-present) it would be cool to put them on the first page

Maybe you can get early pics of your mom from other family and friends. Below is a site that shows how others developed pages that were inspired by book covers.

And this is a very interesting idea. I had not thought of it before. I'm going to see if I can use it. You really are a creative person if you think along these lines:)
