Scrapbooking question!?

How in the world do you expand the binding on a scrapbook? I have one that says you can expand it by 2". My hubby and I spent awhile taking out all the s***w in the binding and opening it up and everything. But now the screws are not long enough to go through all of the pages and the cardboard pieces of the spine of the book. So how are you supposed to expand a book by 2" if the screws they give you are not even an inch long?

  1. Go to your local scrapbooking store and buy the exentsion posts. They usually come with the refill pages but if not, ask the clerk and they can show you where they are at.

    Good luck!

  2. You should buy expanding posts at the store.

  3. Ahh.. NO. Throw out all those metal posts and go buy Pioneer Snap Lock. They replace all posts in post bound albums. They are wonderful to use, easy to get in and out, to add pages. Your pages lay flat when your album is open. And they can be expanded to hold  a lot of pages. They should run $6 or under. I have found them at all scrapbook stores and at JoAnn fabrics.

  4. Go back to the store and you can buy more extenders ;)))
