Scratched CD; HELP!!?

What is the best solution to fix a scratched cd? T

he scratches are not deep but every time I put the CD in my computer, it reads it as a blank but its not. I have some very important things on it and I need the CD to work! Thanks.

The easiest one I have found is plain toothpaste. Take a little bit and rub it into the scratch. Make sure the disc is clean before you try it in the computer. It doesn't always work, but it's helped me save a few CDs for a little longer. Good luck! Hope you can keep your important things.
