Scratched dvd copy please help

Question

I have a dvd of home movies that got really scratched up. Is there any way that I can make a copy? I've tried but nothing will read the disc? I'd appreciate any help because the home movies are really important to me. thanks

You may try avs dvd copy, I always use it to copy DVD, it works pretty well, maybe it works for scratched DVD, and here is a step by step guide about how to use it
