Scratched gold ds lite

Recently, I accidentally dropped my gold ds lite... while I was playing badminton... Does Nintendo have a warranty so I can replace it? Now it's scratched up on the L and R buttons and the bottom corners. I was wondering what I should do about it.

  2. I have a friend who had dropped hers too and both L and R does not work and nintendo is replacing it but she had boughten an extra warranty to which they would replace it but nintendo (unless you bought an extra warranty ) does not replace them unless it was a system failure.

If you don't get a new one (or if you do ) I would purchase a hard case to protect from any OTHER damage.

  3. Since you did the damage yourself and it wasn't a system failure, the store you bought it from will most likely not accept it so you cannot exchange it. You should e-mail Nintendo and ask if they would fix it for you, but you would have to be lucky. With a warranty, they usually only take affect when the system fails by itself and not just because you dropped it. Ask the store you got it from and if they will replace it.

In the future, put it away when you are not using it or better yet, purchase a hardcase for your DS.
