Scratched windshield?

When we came home from vacation there was ice and snow on our car windshield and we didn't have a scrapper so we used the only thing in our car... a coffee cup. We scraped the window & it looks like paint scrapes and we can not get it off, does anybody have any suggestions?

try white spirits on a cloth. you may have to rub very hard.

or use a stanley knife blade to remove the worst.

this is also useful for removing unwanted windscreen stickers.

try a single edged razor to carefully scrape the paint.

well if you just left pieces of the coffee cup on the windshield use windex or finger nail polish remover and scrape with a brilo pad but if it is in the actual glass you are screwed sorry
