Question:

Scratches on my board?

I bought a Ride Grace 3 years ago, and I love it. This last year some friends of mine invited me to go with them to their cabin. Behind the cabin are these big hills that people have build jumps and boxes on. I was coming off of the jump, but I lost control. There was this patch of rocks and I ran right into it. Everything was fine, except I got a scratch about 9 in. long. Is there anyway to fill in the scratch?

  1. I would send it in for a tune-up. The guys at the shop can fix up the scratches as well as sharpen the edges and all that. It is well worth the cost.

  2. If the scratch is on the base then PTex (a plastic stick for repairing bases) can be used or you can take it to a shop and have them do it. As part of a tune up (wax and edge sharpening) this usually only adds about $20.

If the scratch is on the top, there is a lot less that can be done. I have heard that some shops can fill scratches with resin or some other kind of clear plastic, but I don't know the details or how much it costs.

    Good Luck
