  1. Well, it's not a matter of heart, it's a matter of vocals. Your vocal cords can strain if you scream too much on rides. And no, the person that told you that is... Lying!!!!

    Seriously.

    That's complete B.S.

  2. People have very different ways of reacting to fear stimulus.  NOT screaming won't hurt your heart - so don't worry =) For some people, screaming comes as a natural reaction and other people tend to freeze up.  Even others tend to not react at all.  I'm not a screamer either =) You will be fine.

  3. idk but i never sccream on a roller coaster only sometimes

but idk maybe u should scream

  4. you have all that pressure in you and if you dont let it out your ears could pop. Something about your body. I scream all the time!!! Cant help it.

  5. dude i scream, than i laugh like a maniac, then i cry. all that on one roller coaster cant be healthy. its not unhealthy. i think it would be hazardous to some ppl, like ppl with seizures of brain anurizims. whatever floats your boat. sometimes in so petrified i just sit there scared sh*t-less

  6. uhmm i dont think not screaming is bad for your heart lol that makes no sense. its okay not to scream =)

  7. People scream is because they are afraid of roller coasters. If you dont scream even if you're scared, it is better to scream it all out to let emotion releases. As for the heart, yea I think so that will harm your heart.

  8. hey its normal its not good for nor bad. it doesnt mean ur a freak. . usually others scream because they want to not because its their reflexes!!! dont worry its perfectly OK

  9. you dont have to scream on rollercoasters. im a BIG FAN of the rollercoaster. but if you are worried, you dont have to scream. just keep sain "whooooo!!! woohoo! fun!!! hahaha!" lol!!!

  10. Complete B.S.

  11. I never scream on rides....ever.

  12. Some just scream out of fear or just for the heck of it. I don't scream either and I believe we're perfectly fine.

  13. That's ridiculous, for some people a scream is a natural reaction, for others it isn't. No difference in the effect on your heart either way.

Give it a try though. For me a good scream adds to the fun of roller coasters.

  14. i don't know if its good or bad for you to not scream......but seriously......HOW CAN YOU NOT SCREAM???? omg i almost pee my pants on the ferris wheel.  i cry on anything bigger and i DEFINITELY scream!!!

Edit:  Holy cow, i'm reading some of the responses......laughing?? having conversations???  the only thing i ever had on the ONE coaster i rode was a panic attack and spent the day in the First Aid shack!! haha

  15. sometime you can have your breath caught where you cant say athing if you try.

It wont do no bad lol

  16. I don't scream. That probably isn't true. I laugh too though... oh and i curse like crazy too haha. I also live in florida. We have too much in common :). Just noticed your name is Patricia. Spooky stuff

  17. I don't ride them.   Look at the guy operating them - high school dropout who hasn't bathed in days or shaved in weeks, who gets drunk every night on Busch Lite.    Look at the people who repair them - not much better.    You risk your life on those things.   People die every year on those things.  Do you want your obit to say that you were thrown from a roller coaster?   That whatever your purpose in life is, you threw it away for a three minute thrill ride?   And who knows what kind of brain damage the shaking and speed can do - if you can't shake a baby, if a soccer ball off the head can cause a concussion, then don't you think that maybe, just maybe, the haunted elevator ride could possibly knock a few brain cells loose?

  18. i live on roller coasters.

we live about an hour and a half from a theme park with many roller coasters (busch gardens in tampa florida)

we go about 2 times a month and i got on roller coasters like 10+ times there.

    i never scream.

sometimes me and my friend even have conversations on them :D

but nothing's wrong with my heart.

  19. That isn't true if you don't scream on roller coasters it's bad for your heart! *TOTALLY not true*

It just means you don't scream, and that's it. Period, done. You don't scream on roller coasters, people don't scream when they get a shot...

It's the same thing. But just, don't worry that much! Just remember : TOTALLY not true* =]

And you probably don't scream because you've been on plenty of them before!

  20. I don't know because I have never heard that before, but I know that I scream because it is such a thrill.

  21. I was going around 70 miles an hour when a wall jumped out in front of me an I totaled my car and I never screamed. So basically I don't understand what screaming does for people

  22. No, I don't think so. You might actually be better off not screaming because it cause a sore throat if you do it for too long...

I would suggest screaming it because its fun and it gets your adrenaline out :]

  23. no more dangerous screaming than not

  24. i dont kno abouth that. but i discovered that if u scream while going down the big fall....it gets rid of that weird feeling u get in ur stomach

  25. I think you should scream just for the heck of it, lol. How much fun are you really having if youre not screaming?? ;)

  26. I've never heard that before...but then again, the person sitting next to me usually goes deaf for a few minutes...

  27. no I never ever ever ever ever scream and it's fine. My throat hurts if I scream so I just laugh.

  28. ahahahahaha thats not true it's fine if you don't scream

  29. who knows

  30. lol, that's not true.  That's like saying if you hold your eyes open while you sneeze, your eyes will fly out of your head.  It's simply not true.  If this person had a logical reason, I might believe it.  I never scream on roller coasters, either, and I have a family history of heart problems, but I haven't had a problem yet.

  31. People scream because some are they are scared, others do this because they want to fit in.  I've never heard of such a thing as it helps your heart.  Everyone is different.  The important question is are you having fun???  If not than don't go on them and if yes don't worry about the rest of those loud people and just sit back and laugh.  I find it funny to watch someone freaking out as long as they aren't small and really truly scared.
