I do not have a sewing machine.. I do not know what els to use.. How can i get the bonding to stick.. I am so frustrated.. If you have any good tips or have done this please let me know.. This is between my front door and the security screan. A wooden frame wont work. It has to sort of be a velcro thing a madoo. thank you in advance..

  1. If its just the screening that is pulling away from the velcro, try spreading  rubber cement on the velcro, place the screening, then apply a thin ribbon of paper/cloth over the rubber cement on the screen side. The rubber cement should be pliable enought to expand a tad with the screen and the paper of cloth will help secure it to the velcro. Even a ribbon from gift wrap would work for the material.

  2. What exactly do you mean by security door?

A storm door?  Did it have a window or screen in it before?

Screen is usually held in place with a round rubber strip, that gets wedged into a groove in the door with the screen under it.  The tool looks like a pizza cutter with a small wheel at each end of the handle.

Maybe you could tack the screen to some wood slats, then s***w them to the door with some wood/sheet metal screws.

  3. even sewing by hand would be pretty secure, just use some carpet thread instead of regular thread.  and instead of a typical granny knot, tie the tail back onto the main thread after you've made a few stitches.

or maybe some super-duper super glue?  it's hard to visualize what exactly the problem is.
