  1. Unfortunately, in 90% of cases, screen burn on an LCD is permanent.

This is despite the hundreds of people on Y!A who repeatedly say that, "LCD televisions don't get screen burn".

This question is the proof that you are all wrong.....

  2. No don`t even try, it`s just an expensive paper weight now.

Or you could just smash it up, or throw it in the neighbours pool.

  3. 'Screen Burn' on LCD's is generally due to pixels being stuck due to unbalanced use.

there are 2 ways to reduce/remove this.

one display a white image for hours or a moving gif that alternates between Black, White, Red, Green, BLue for hours this exercises the pixels and helps reduce it.

you are lucky its not plasma otherwise it would be much worse and WOULD be irreversible.

I have gif and Mov files of the alternating images (small) if you cant get them elsewhere

  4. screen burn is exactly what it says.....its a burn. the actual image has been burnt onto the back and this damage is usually irreversable. sorry.
