i cant see my screen its went blank as if the bcklight has failed is there anyway to reolve this
I have an HP ZE2113us that I purchased from my god-daughter (helping out a broke college student!) The hard drive had crashed but I easily replaced it and added additional ram and used the laptop for a good year before I lost the display the other day. I had never had a problem with the display before, but I think i may actually have contributed to the issue by partially closing the lid with something blocking it open. i planned to go back to continue working but became sidetracked and didn't get to it until the next day (today). When I restarted it, I could faintly make out the start up sequence and was able to see just enough to login, but it was futile to try to work with it. I tried to adjust the contrast, but that didn't work, so I hooked it up to an external monitor to test and I could see everything perfectly. I have read several comments/suggestions which refer to the power inverter and/or LCD backlight lamp. I am pretty computer literate and knnow how to build and repair PC's so I can understand the situation regarding the lamp burning out, but could someone supply an explanantion of the power inverter's function? It would probably help me determine whether it is the lamp or the inverter itself. Any assistance would be welcome. Thanx!
