Screen problems with HDTV lcd flat panal HP TV

Question

My kids were playing a Wii game wehn one of the remotes slipped out of my daughters hand and hit the new TV it nicked the glass but worse the is no picutre only a series of odd lines. I'm sure the impact messed by the LCD's how can I get the screen replaced and is this something that I can do myself.
