Screen turns off after a few hours

Question

i will be watching tv and after about usually 2 hours the picture abruptly cuts out, yet the power is still on and the audio still works. i tried the flashlight trick mentioned in other complaints about this tv, and i see no picture or "ghost picture" at all.
