TO Val: This may not be the "last Olympics ever" but it just may be the last Olympics for Nastia. She should have the medal she earned...the gold. She tied for it, they both should have been awarded the same medal. When it comes out that He is all of 14, her medals should be stripped from her, and she should be banned from any further competitions.

ANY athlete who cheats should suffer the same fate, it doesn't matter which flag they represent!!!

Why is it so hard for people to understand that being screwed out of your rightful, earned position after all the hours of practice, the sacrifices (how many pizzas, movies, or days hanging out at the mall with friends do you think these girls gave up to practice for this ONE moment?!), the dreaming, preparing, lifting, practicing, focusing, all for this one time to get screwed out of it by horribly subjective scoring would make anyone ticked off. Well, it makes people who watch the sport ticked off too.

You know nothing about gymnastics do you? She did tie with He in the A score, so they did what all judges do in gymnastics, tiebreaker. The first tiebreak used is the B score. Nastia and He both got the same B score, 9.025. The next tiebreak: the judges drop the next highest deduction.That obviously leaves three judges' scores instead of four -- or to be precise, the marks those three judges gave for deductions. The average of those three judges' deductions for He: .933.

For Nastia: .966. Nastia had a greater deduction. Thus she was second. The tie breaking rule was in effect before the olympics began and weren't just made up on the spot, nobody in gymnastics likes it but that doesn't mean it's "robbing people". Everything was much easier when the 10.0 scale was used, I think everyone agrees but that's how the tiebreaker works so tough luck Nastia.

How exactly is she being robbed when she got the lower score in the tiebreaker? If He is underaged (which I don't doubt) then yes, Nastia should get the gold and He should be banned from competition and gotten stripped of her medal, but don't blame the judges.

You can obviously tell that the girls from China aren't 16. From the lip-sinking in the ceremony. that the Chinese are taking advantage I suppose? I mean you can tell Americans were having advantages when the Olympics were hosted in the U.S.

China does cheat. I'm sorry but those 2 girls from China are not 16 years old.  They don't even look 14 like some of the press has reported.  They look about 12 or even younger. That right there should give our US the Gold.  Why are they not investigating this matter further? Obviously they have created their fake documents to qualify.  Isn't there something more they can do?
