Ok im pumped up tomorrow because we're scrimmaging and we are hitting with pads tomorrow?

Well these two kids, way skinnier than me said all this stuff about theyre gonna run my little *** over and all this trash talk.

Well what do you think might happen?

Im a very fast runner, and I can wrap up and hit kids older then me, but only 1 year older, and i have muscle and i have heart.

The other 2 kids.

1)Im not really worrying about him but he weighs more than me but hes not that fit because he bums out on pushups but hes skinnier then me.

2Kid)Hes played football for 9 years, hes also a runningback but hes 2 pounds lighter than me, also very skinny but hes taller then me?

For you good football players, do you think Ill have any problems, should I wrap them up or just hit low?

What should I expect at the scrimmage yadayda.

  1. Remember, it's not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog.  Heart is the most important attribute of a football player.  As a 6'0" 164 pound kid I started at center and linebacker on my high school team and helped take us to state with an undefeated season.

I took on kids that had 70+ pounds on me regularly.  It really is skill that matters.  Remember to stay low when you're hitting.  LOW MAN WINS.  This is true 80% of the time.  Remember that you have to be the force when you're tackling.  Don't wait for them to come to you, run at them and hit em with everything you got.  If all else fails go for the ol' cornerback ankle tackle.  It may not be a hit stick move, but you'll get em on the ground and that's what matters.

  2. Wrap up and bring your hips. Just hit em. I wouldnt spend too much time worrying about these kids just play football.

ACL stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament. It is the ligament that crosses in front of your knee.

Rotator cuffs are located in your shoulder.

  3. Most people talk trash, and usually don't back it up, but I wouldn't just blow it off, don't hold a grudge but give them what they need to grow a pair and have enemys on the other team not yours..  I've been threatened in football quite a bit, but at this point; after being hit over 100 times by our state leading nosegaurd, I can safely say I don't care what people say. Lol, unless Ray Lewis came up to you and said he was hungry for little o' u, then I think its safe to tell them two simple sentences; **** off, and I don't care what you can do. Usually the second one pisses them off, becuase in all reality you shouldn't care what trash talkers have to say. Especially if they pick easy people to target (not implying your easy)

Most people that have been hit hard more than once won't talk c**p, and those who have hit hard, should have some respect for those who they hit. More or less, the fact of the matter, size doesn't matter till about NFL and maybe Varsity in College. But I've knocked people 50+ lbs than me over, let alone carried them on my back. I've seen small fries eat the double cheese burgers like it was nothing. So the fact of the matter is skills not kills..

Hit them how coach would want you to, and for the most part I'd say don't expect anything you didn't prepare for.

  4. expect a long day. An just crush those trash talking little boys.

  5. It's all about hitting. If you enjoy hitting, you'll have fun. If you're afraid to hit, it will be a long day.
