Script Writing?

Well.. Im Trying To Write This Script On My Laptop And Im Struggling To Figure Out How Long 1 Scene Should Be And How Many Pages It Should Have. Ive Been Trying To Write This Scxript Since I Was 12 And Now I Cant Even Figure Out Start To Finish.. Any Tips?

I am writing the script for a short sci-fi film intended for TV at the moment.Let's wish each other the best of luck!A good idea would be to get a book on scriptwriting from your local library.I ordered a book called 'How To Make Money Scriptwriting'.

I recently had to do script writing for my uni course and felt exactly the same, how long, what characters, etc etc. We done hours of workshops but the main techniques which i leant were this

1) Write as little as possible. Limit yourself to 5 words a sentence, your be suprised how sometimes what it said in 50 words can be said in 5.

2) Once you written the basic then add ingredients. Look at where more dialogue is needed. But again, is that rule that every word counts.

3) I used to think sitting n creating characters or making up scenarios was inamature but it isnt. Look around you, steal characters from your everyday life, the old man down the road or the rude boss you work for. Take those ideas and characters and put them into stories. They are much more real and easier to write as u know them for real.

This ofcourse is not everything to know about writing but it certainly helped me, good luck!
