Scroll function on my sony vaio?

ok so I need to know how to turn the scroll function, meaning when I slide my finger down the right side of the touchpad in order to scroll the page down, on my laptop back on. It worked before, but I installed windows vista business on it and now it doesn't. Thanks.

Happens to me all the time! Usually after the program "synaptic pointing device" fails to respond and closes.

Try:   1)  reboot the computer.

if no luck:

2) Look up your mouse and check it is installed properly.

3) make sure all drivers are updated.

4) Un-install & reinstall your mouse  (synaptics pointing device or similar)

5) I'm afraid you'll have to contact an expert 'cos im all out of ideas.
