  1. Hey.  Padi is a good option.  There are lots of Padi centers around the world.  Training is basically the same for recreational divers.


  2. Curriculum wise, they are the same. Padi has a slight advantage in that it's more wide spread. This offers no real benefit to the diver, though, other than being able to transfer the incomplete part of a course to a vacation destination. To me, that's daft and not really a bonus. It all ought to be done at once, with no lapse to better keep what you've learned fresh.

    What should matter to you is the quality of the shop and it's staff. I drive an extra 10 miles and right past another shop, to spend my money where it's going to do ME the most good.

  3. PADI is by far more widely recognized but they both are similar in terms of dive education. I think that Padi has a more structured and organized approach.
