  2. Yes, worn over underwear under dresses and skirts, particularly worn at school.

  3. yeah they are we have to wear them in PE and on the sports team. Let me tell you.. when the seniors give you a wedgie in thoose it hurts like you know what.

    Hence there really isn't much point Americans confusing them with scrunchies (as has happened on here) and trying to wear them in their hair!
