Sd card works in camera but cant download pictures onto computer?

Question

i got a new sd card. it works fine in the camera, but when i try to put the pictures onto the computer it says "can't be formatted" i have double checked and it is NOT LOCKED!!!!

maybe is the connection camera-PC (the cable). If it is, you will need to buy an external multicard device to take out data of the SD card.

Never format a camera card in the computer, always do it in camera. Your computer is protecting you, if you format on the computer your camera may not recognise the card and you won't be able to format it in camera making it useless. The camera needs hidden files on the card so it can 'talk' to it which it renews when the camera formats the card.
