Sea horse and reef aquarium? (Is my tank suitable?)?

I have a 250L (65Gallon) Saltwater Aquarium...

It has a large structure of live rock, various corals (elegance, lobophyllia and other small corals) 1 Coral beauty, 4 clown fish (2 percula, 2 other), 1 hawkfish, hopefully get a yellow tang and some green chromis...

It has a moderate flow however lots of areas with little to almost no flow (cause of the rock structure)

Can I have one tank-bred Sea horse?

And what are any extra requirements to keep him?

I know he will need stuff to latch his tail on. And before getting him I will create the environment to suit.

  1. Seahorses are delicate and cannot be kept with any Tangs and that Coral Beauty may also be a risk. They are also incompatible with some types of coral and can be difficult to feed, especially with all those other fish, they eat slowly.

Have a read through these sites:

  2. You cant put a seahorse in that tank, they need to be in tank mostly by themselves , they are slow moving and would not be able to get food, plus the fish you have will kill it. Seahorses are very delicate and should be only kept by experienced  reefers. You really should do alot of reading on this before you do anything.

  3. Clowns are fairly good tank mates in this size tank, hawkfish ok, chromis ok.  Regal tank is not a good choice but the yellow should be fine.  Gobies, firefish, cardinalfish are also good choices.  Your coral beauty should be fine too, just watch if you get shrimp.

yes you need plants or poles for your seahorses and the tank needs to be mature.  Also, target feeding is a must.  Seahorses are slow eaters and many times will watch food float by over and over.  Sometimes they actually need to be removed or divided to feed.
