roughly how long does it take for someone to get their sealegs on a boat

  1. Really depends on the individual.  It's about balance and I find that the trick is not to think about it. Get on board and keep busy- that way your natural balance doesn't get overridden by your brain!


  2. yeah. it depends on the person and it depends on how offten you go boating. but if you go offten you should get your sea legs soon =]

  3. It would REALLY depend from person to person !!

    I never required any time during my 15 years in the Navy, nor my 30 years of sailing.  The funny thing was it took me time to get my LAND legs back after a few months at sea.

    I knew folks who would be tossing their cookies the moment the mooring lines were slipped.  Some folks would be down for 12-24 hours... others for 2 to 3 days... a few for a whole week.

    Scopalomine (sp?) patches really seemed to make a difference when they were introduced.
