Cannington Brook had a promising start to 2012. The 8-year-old gelding, son of Winged Love, out of Rosie Brook, finished in first place, on 18th February, 2012.
He finished first by defeating Majala, in the Betfred “Double Delight” Novices’ Handicap Chase, at Haydock.
Planet Of Sound, trained by Philip Hobbs, will be racing for the first time in 2012.
The 10-year-old gelding competed at Newbury, in the Grade 3 Hennessy Gold Cup Chase Handicap. He finished in second place as he was defeated by Carruthers, on 26th November, 2011.
Seabass, the 9-year-old gelding, has been performing in an outstanding manner. He has been finishing first and crossing the wire every race before all the other contenders since 31st January, 2010.
He was the race favourite in that race, the Star Best For Racing Coverage Handicap Chase, at Punchestown. He was the prominent and kept racing with a steady pace.
On 20th November, 2011, the son of Turtle Island, out of Muscovy Duck, succeeded over Saddlers Storm, in the Ballywalter Farms Open, which was held at Ballinaboola.
On 27th December, 2011, he once again claimed victory, in the Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Chase, at Limerick.
His seasonal debut was just as smashing. He maintained his pace throughout the race and comfortably reached the finish line.
This was on 28th January, 2012, at Leopardstown, in the Grade A Leopardstown Handicap Chase.
With his unbeatable record, Seabass is collecting bets left, right and centre. He is known to perform extremely well under pressure. His first place finish is almost guaranteed, based on how much confidence the punters and bookies have in him.
His trainer, T.M. Walsh, and owner, Gunners Syndicate are also confident of his ability to win. He has gone through extensive work-outs and comprehensive exercises to build his strength.
The second place victory might be rewarded to Cannington Brook. His trainer, Colin Tizzard, is confident of his ability to secure a placed finish.
Planet Of Sound, is also a tough contender but his odds of winning are slim compared to the top two contenders.
