Seachantach favourite for Mahab Al Shimaal Sponsored By Skywards

Seachantach has the best odds for winning Mahab Al Shimaal Sponsored By Skywards at Meydan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday, March 10, 2012. The cash prize for the winning horse will be £77,419.
A total of 14 runners have been confirmed for the event, which has a distance of six furlong to cover. The entries are: Seachantach, Iver Bridge Lad, Jaasoos, Addictive Dream, Global City, Kanaf, August Rush, Alazeyab, Hitchens, Ergiyas, Dark Matter, Krypton
Factor, Right To Dream and Green Beret.
Out of these runners, the bookmakers have shown confidence in Seachantach, trained by S. Seemar. He has taken part in 31 races in his career until now, winning just three of them. The strike rate does not really suggest that he will be able to win today,
but has got plenty of experience of conditions at Meydan.
The six-year-old gelding has been running at this venue quite regularly, but his performances have been a touch inconsistent. This might discourage the punters from placing bets against his victory.
However, Seachantach will be partnered by seasoned campaigner, Richard Mullen, who will be eying a solid show today.
On the other hand, Iver Bridge Lad has also been given pretty decent odds for the race. He has been performing decently over the past few events, which suggests that he will give a tough time to the favourite runner.
The five-year-old horse has got an experience of 43 races, but he has managed to win just five of them until now. He will be ridden by Michael O'Connell, who has been partnering his for the past many events.
Other than the top two favourites, Jaasoos will also be the one to watch out for. He is in good rhythm at the moment, but will need a clear run to win at Meydan today. The eight-year-old gelding has managed to win seven races out of 32 starts.
D. Selvaratnam’s trainee will be partnered by James Doyle, who has earned very good reputation in the sport.
Although the top three favourites have been awarded with decent odds, there is a solid chance for Addictive Dream to win today. He is in terrific form at the moment, winning his past two races at Meydan.
The five-year-old gelding will be ridden by, Adrian Nicholls, who will be looking forward to a hat-trick of victories with Addictive Dream.
Global City and Kanaf might also be able to trouble the top favourites, but they will have to be at their absolute best in order to do so. The remaining runners do not have many chances of shining at Meydan today.
