Seafood sauce or thousand island...help to settle a argument!!?

ok so me and my boyfriend of two years have nothing better to do than argue bout what sauce is in big macs lol...i think its seafood sauce and he thinks its thousand island....anyone know what it is??

i make my own from , mayonnaise , tomato puree and garlic puree

or for kebabs n meat , swap the tomato puree for mint sauce

actually its mayo and ketchup with a finly choped pickle and onion i work at mcdonalds and make it all the time at home bc its so good and it taste the same

It doesn't taste like Thousand Island to me.  And it's certainly not seafood sauce.  I think it's special sauce they make up themselves.

it's thousand island... what is seafood sauce anyway? Tartar, cocktail, remoulade...??  seafood sauce is pretty non-descriptive

If it`s creamy then it`s seafood sauce, if it has bits in it then it`s thousand and one, hope that helps

Tarter sauce is just mayo and relish and there is no ketchup in it.  Since it is orange in color I gotta go with Thousand Island with relish in it

It's Thousand Island sauce.  Seafood sauce is Ketchup, or Chili Sauce and horseradish...Would only be good on seafood, but not on a hamburger.

I don't think it's either as thousand island is an orangey colour & the big mac sauce is yellow!  Also why would you put a fishy sauce on a burger?  I think it is just a burger sauce & I did buy something similar from the supermarket once!

Neither, it's their own concoction.

if you look at the ingredients on the bottle, they are almost the same.

Its McDonalds's special sauce of Ketchup and Mayo mixed in together with maybe bits of pickle/relish maybe a few spices. Ask the cashier.
