Seagate or Samsung HDD?

I'm looking for a good new HDD for my desktop to replace a damaged Seagate Barracuda 500 GB sata2 HDD coz I cant support anymore the clicking noise it produces. ( I took my PC to the warranty service support -HP people- and they said that the HDD is just fine, but I really can see that it isn't, OS freezing, annoying noise... so they just got rid of me simply and I don't have more time to waste it with them) so miraculously I found two good offers here in "Finland", the firs is a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500 GB SATA 3.0 Gb/s, and the other is a Samsung T166 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3,0 Gbps. Both cost the same price (61 €, about 90 USD, 50 GBP).

which is better (faster and more silent)?

Many thanks in advance.

  1. Seagates are the best hard drives out there.

  2. Both are respected manufacturers.  You should look at the warrantee.
