Hi

I am living in quite nice place, I say one of the best area in London, but I found the bunch of Seagulls screaming on top of our flat every morning (that was happening the last year too and about 5AM or 6AM)

I ve been disturbed by those buch of Punks and fed up with them ....what the h**l are they doing above my flat / we are not living close to the Sea or the river at all!!!

I am sure the other residents are annoyed by them too, so I have to ask you if there is any good idea to evice them from our lovely premises.

Please advise, By the way I can not shoot em as i haven't got a rifle lol

Thanks

Kind Regards

Naoki

  1. first you have to get good aim, then a gum or whatevr and THEN you shoot them

  2. Know the feeling, I work on a fishing boat so gotta listen to them 24 hours a day.

You don't really want to be S**t on by them, it kinda feels like a slap... especially the runny ones!

  3. If you want a serious answer... I suggest you buy a fake model of an owl or something, so the seagulls think it's a real predator and stay away. It will work for a couple of weeks. I actually know someone who did this.

  4. I don't know.... but I hope they sh*t on your head.

  5. I live by the sea so we get a lot of seagulls - I barely hear them now.  You do get used to it.  Right now the young'uns are learning to fly and look after themselves and thats when they make the most noise!  A few more months and it'll be a lot quieter, then you can put some mesh over your chimney (if you have one) and that'll stop them nesting there again.

  6. I know you can get high frequency noise 'animal deterers', also the idea of a fake hawk & or hawk silhouettes is worth noting.

The web link i've given looks good, some a bit too extreme but i think there should be something useful in there you could try.

Like someone already said, they'll only be noisy for a little while.  I use ear plugs anyway, cause it's the school holidays :p
