Seamans book???????

I have to apply for a seamans book, im from Ireland, can anyone help me out, where do i apply?

Hi, you don't say if you are in North or Southern Ireland. In Northern Ireland I suggest you try the uk maritime and coastguard agency  or mca as they issue seamans books or discharge books as they are better known. www.mcga.gov.uk

Not sure where you need to try in Southern Ireland but it will be the equivallent government agency.

In case you didn't know a seamans book is a record of which ships you have worked on, tonnage and horsepower and the  dates you joined and left. This is an official record of your sea service. After 27 years at sea my advice to you now if you are considering a career at sea is change your mind! Good luck.
