Sean O’Sullivan hoping for a strong run in 2012-13 Snooker Season – Snooker News
Second event of the 2012 World Snooker Qualifying School (Q School) pushed England’s Sean O’Sullivan into the list of 2012-13 Snooker Season’s pro circuit list. He reached the quarter-final stage of the qualifying event against Ryan Causton after beating
compatriot Christopher Keogan, Nick Dyson, Mohammad Ali Shaikh and Michael Wild in the first four rounds.
The quarter-final encounter of the 2012 World Snooker Q School at the World Snooker Academy was an easy win for the Englishman as he cruised into the victory by the score line of 4-1 to book his place in the pro circuit tour of the recent snooker season.
The Englishman’s success in the Q School event was a great opportunity for the youngster to show his talent and make his name known to the world. O’Sullivan is now aiming to hit the initial rounds of all major ranking snooker events. He believes the new
season campaign will bring a good change in his game and playing skills.
In his recent interview with the On Cue, O’Sullivan said, “Turning professional is what I have wanted to do since I started playing snooker when I was nine-years-old. It's a dream come true and I will try my absolute best to make the most of this opportunity.
I hope I'll be doing well on the tour, pushing up the rankings and who knows how far.”
He added, “Just look at my mate and practice partner Martin Gould. Not too many years ago he was in the same position as I am now in the 80s of the rankings, but now he's a top 16 player and Power Snooker champion.”
Despite the fact that O’Sullivan is quite determined about his campaign, the Englishman was not able to give himself a superb start of the 2012-13 Snooker Season as he crashed out of the qualifying sessions of the 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker event and the
2012 Australian Goldfields Open tournament.
Nevertheless, the English potter still has a lot to go and make his presence felt in the arenas around the world. Playing in the pro circuit will give his confidence a new boost and he will be able to handle the pressure of the game.
