Sear away the Darkness?

I can't quite remember all of the dream, but this one point stood out the most. I saw a strange symbol...I can't post an image (I'm ignorant) so just try to picture it in your mind. It started with a silver fingerprint, and it had a trail below it, a wavy path flowing down beneath the starting fingerprint, vertically...but the path was not colored silver...It was red, like blood. I heard a voice say to me, that my purpose on this world was to "sear away the darkness" What could it possibly mean?

This is very interesting. I think it might be a message from God... maybe.  I've seen silver glitter or dust in dreams as a heavenly element. I've also seen silver being described as being painted on someone's face like an anointing.

If you're seeing a silver fingerprint, it could be symbolic of the touch of God upon your life. If this is an accurate interpretation, the blood trailing below could only be that of Christ's redeeming blood.

If the voice is telling you that your purpose is to sear away the darkness, it's referring to God's fingerprint on your life and the corresponding deposit of the Holy Spirit in your life.  We are but tools for God's work. And the Holy Spirit is like a discerning fire that burns within.

This searing would refer to your relationship between you and the Holy Spirit. This is so personal and so deep that I couldn't possibly say, "Do thus and thus with your life." This is something you must discover in your relationship with God-- on your own.

Then repeat.  Also-- if you haven't already, find a church that you can relate to-- somewhere safe to share this calling and get the support you need to carry it out.

It may not be an easy path, but if it's truly from God, you'll be miserable if you're not in His will.

Sounds good to me. Anything to do with getting rid of darkness has to be a good thing.
